Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Tokyn (“we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Skylog mobile app (the “App”). By using the App you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

Account details you provide: name, email, phone number, role (crew/traveler), airline/operator, and home base.
Flight records you create or import: routes, times, aircraft, roles, notes, and related statistics.
Photos you choose to attach, including their location and capture time if present in the image metadata.
Location, used only while you actively use location features (drive-time estimates, “leave by” timing, nearby-aircraft radar, pinning a photo to your current spot). We do not track your location in the background.
Subscription status (e.g., whether you have an active Pro subscription), via our payments provider. We never receive your card details.
Diagnostic data needed to keep the App working and to fix problems.

2. How we use your information

To provide the logbook and its features, and to sync your data across your devices.
To process and manage subscriptions.
To maintain, secure, and improve the App.
To respond to your requests and support inquiries.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. Service providers

We share data only with processors that help us run the App, under contracts that limit their use of it:

Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage (your account and synced data).
RevenueCat and the Apple App Store / Google Play — subscription management and payment processing.
Apple / Google — sign-in (if you choose those methods).
Map, weather, and flight-data providers — Apple Maps / OpenStreetMap, Open-Meteo, RainViewer, and ADS-B data sources are used to render maps, weather, and live aircraft positions. These receive only what is needed to fulfill a request (e.g., a map region or a flight number) and are governed by their own privacy policies.

4. Location and photos

Location and photo-library access are requested at the moment you use a feature that needs them, and can be revoked anytime in your device settings. Photo location is used only to place your photos on your map.

5. Data storage, security, and retention

Your data is stored on your device and, for signed-in users, in your private account on our servers. Access is restricted to your account through row-level security; data is encrypted in transit; and your session is stored in your device’s secure keystore. No method of storage is 100% secure. We keep your data until you delete it or close your account.

6. Your choices and rights

Edit or delete individual flights and photos in the App at any time.
Delete your account and all associated data from the Account screen; this permanently removes your data from our servers.
Revoke location or photo access in device settings.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or export your data — contact us to exercise them.

7. Children

The App is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

8. International users

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our service providers operate.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date, and continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
